Who we are
Our mission is to foster a resilient and inclusive community where mental health is prioritized, and every individual-regardless of their background- feels empowered to share their story. We commit to creating safe spaces that celebrate diversity and promote understanding through culturally-informed practices.
We envision a world where mental wellness is not just the absence of struggle but the presence of strength, creativity, and resilience. We aim to empower individuals to reclaim their narrative, foster authentic connections, and ignite collective healing.
Meet the Team
As a clinical social worker, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals grappling with depression, anxiety, and feelings of hopelessness that can diminish their sense of self-worth. Through therapy, my clients have been able to conquer challenges and discover strengths they didn’t realize they possessed. My role is to empower them to advocate for themselves and to trust in their inherent resilience. I am grateful for the many individuals I’ve had the privilege to assist over my 10-plus years as a therapist. I’ve been fortunate to work with a remarkably diverse clientele of all ages, and also provide clinical supervision to fellow therapist who share my passion for helping others.
A bit about my background: I was born in Puerto Rico and relocated to the United States in 1989. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY, followed by a Master’s in Social Work from the University at Buffalo. My career began as a Bi-Lingual Dual Disorder therapist at an outpatient facility in Buffalo, NY. After moving to Florida in 2014, I worked with individuals involved in the court system due to alcohol and substance misuse, as well as with children, teenagers, and adults who have faced complex trauma, as well as offering therapeutic services to individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community and those affected by HIV. My experience spans a wide array of cultures, ethnicity, and background. I am also kink-friendly and competent, assisting clients in navigating ethical non-monogamous relationships.
Throughout my journey, I have gained valuable insight into various diagnoses and resources that foster strength and empowerment.
